Learning and Teaching Fellowship Scheme

The UWE Learning and Teaching Fellowship Scheme recognises, celebrates and supports colleagues who are making a significant, demonstrable and continuing contribution to the enhancement of student learning.  Specifically it aims to:

  • Enhance student learning through ‘critically-informed teaching’ in relation to the formal curriculum, academic practice, and the components of the broader student experience that impact upon learning;
  • Recognise excellence in teaching for learning and learning support activity;
  • Identify, support, showcase and disseminate good practice within the institution and within the wider higher education community;
  • Promote excellence through the funding of staff to engage in continuing professional development to enhance and improve their teaching and learning support activities.
  • Support the UWE Strategic Plan

Learning and Teaching Fellows and Associate Fellows

Following strong, exciting and innovative applications from across the University's faculties and services, 23 new Fellowships are to be awarded for 2013 - 14 Fellowships and 9 Associate Fellowships, including Fellowships for 3 existing UWE Associate Fellows.

A LTFS Award Celebration is planned for 26th June 2013 to celebrate the success of our new Fellows and Associate Fellows with friends, family and colleagues. Details of the new Fellows and Associate Fellows will be published on our LTFS portfolio pages after the Award Ceremony.
